What I found out is that you have to enter a credit card number to even activate it, though they won’t charge you anything until the auto renewal kicks in. So if you forget and that date rolls around, they’ll quietly ping your card and you’ll be mad. I won’t use it and I wouldn’t recommend it. There are way better options out there that aren’t as restrictive and memory-consuming. For most users, malwarebytes or even Avast ( which is free) will keep your computer clean and safe just fine. Actually, Marc is correct - as you may have discovered, the free trial subscription does require a credit card (or PayPal/GooglePay) instrument to activate it, just like other online subscription services like Netflix, Spotify, HBOMax, etc. Although, unlike those you can immediately cancel auto-renewal after activation and the subscription will merely cancel at the end of it's term. Marc is also right about Avast - it's a very good entry product under our "house of brands" known as Gen Digital. However, those security products mentioned don't cover Identity nor Privacy like this product does - a significant differentiator. BTW, we also acquired Avast in the last year. Hope this helps - DWN
