• A:Answer Yes, but not 100% of the time. If your firewall blocks Norton’s VPN, you’ll be out of luck. Typically that is very uncommon but with strict firewalls that take website censorship seriously, you may encounter issues. The way a firewall works is by blocking a websites IP address from being loaded on some or all devices within a network. A VPN masks websites IP addresses, so all websites, from the firewalls perspective, show you’re connecting to the VPN network (Norton), Essentially it’s hiding your browsing history from the network and since the network doesn’t know what you’re loading it can’t block websites. The only exception is if the network blocks Norton’s services too, but that’s unlikely in the majority of circumstances in western countries.
