First time I used it I only used 1 tablespoon of oil and the popcorn was a little dry. The second time I use it, I used 2 tablespoons of oil and a lot of the kernels didn't pop. I think 1 tablespoon is the best option.

You use 1/4 cup corn and 2 teaspoons of oil. Vegetable oil has worked better for us. We tried the butter flavor oil sold with the popcorn, but it seemed not to heat up as nicely and smoked more.

it should have given a small little cup for both the popcorn and oil, i think its like a teaspoon of oil and like a tablespoon of popcorn
