Per the Nostalgia Electrics' website, the ice maker holds one gallon of water and produces up to 26 pounds of ice per day. The internal ice basket holds about 8 cups of ice at any one time, and its measurements are 9.5"W x 4.5"L x 3.5"H. If it loses power then the ice melts back into the reservoir for reuse.
