Yes. I have 1x pci express 3.0 and it works great.

You should get a pin count. If it's 16 pins it should power it. The only downside is that if say you run a 2.0 it's going to run at 2.0 pace. Seeing as 3.0x16 would only be .1 off from max it's not very detrimental to performance. I've used it on a crosshair mother board about 5 years old and a brand new cross hair V11 and both worked fine.
