• If you look at the additional offer you get with this, you will get free DVR FOR LIFE if you are a new Sling Subscriber. Otherwise, no this does not act like a DVR, you would have to get an external HDD to do that

• Yes there is ithe device is called "homerun" but you dont really need it just get yourself a iptv sub and youll be good.
