• latest version is 7. Update from 6 to 7 and controller start giving issues.

• It runs Android TV. I can't tell you the exact differences. Out of the box it makes it hard to install any app you want. I have heard you can "side load" any app but it does not always work as well as it should. The biggest issue I have noticed is video applications, primarily cable to access. The good news if you use Stream, you will love it.
