Yes, it can be used to stream live tv from youtube. It will do it better than anything else on the market.

I personally use it everyday and even though the user experience is not quite the same as let's say my Galaxy S9+, It still works flawlessly. Just a few GUI / Operational differences. Nothing your wife or you should have any problems with.

Com IPTV service presently and get 2500 channels for 5 dollars a month. Do a YouTube search for KodiSolutions IPTV and watch a couple of reviews.

We need something that is simpler and kinda spells it out for you something with arrows and play and pause buttons. Maybe if you purchase a universal remote like Harmony but I don't know if that will work of if it's worth it at that point.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The remote (NOT the game controller) on this device is very buggy. Please Google "Nvidia Shield Remote Issue" and read up on it. There is serious lag between pressing a button on the remote and having the device respond, and sometimes the box freezes up for 15-30 seconds at at time. It appears to be bugs related to Bluetooth.
