Yes. This is the newer model of the Shield, with the smaller form factor. Even though it only comes with 16 GB of storage, you can connect an external usb 3.0 drive to extend the storage.

Yes this is the 2017 model, to tell the difference this model is smaller in size and is less the sd card port that the 2015 model had. Also the remote is now battery operated as opposed to the 2015's remote which was re-chargeable!
