For workstations doing intensive graphic work or scientific calculations with large datasets that won't fit in the 8 or 11 GB of GDDR6 that the 2080/2080 Ti offer. Gamers *can* use this card and in some instances see a bump in performance, but the big win for non-gamers is the 24 GB of onboard memory.

However, the AI Turing capabilities for me ( i have a home studio, ableton live, amateur audio engineer ) this is the only card of it's kind. Where I dont game ,I like nice graphics but that aside the AI really helps noticeably with loading plug ins and keeping latency low. Also having a board and audio interface both running thunderbolt 3 really helps. It is nice to get some benefits from a VGA card other than sweet graphics. For my needs. And that's about it.
