Unfortunately, no. You would need either a DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort to plug it into, and official word from Oculus is that HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapters will not work, because "no known adapter currently has sufficient bandwidth to carry the headset’s 1440p 80Hz signal, but that could change in the future." Unless someone invents a better adapter, you'll need either a different laptop or a different VR system. I hear good things about the Oculus Quest!
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure that the usb-c port is directly connected to your main GPU. If not then I'm not sure that it will work. Don't try to use a display port to HDMI because HDMI is not powerful enough for this headset.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not an answer does it have a mini display port? If not then it won’t work. Unless there is a display port to hdmi plug out there somewhere
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it will not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the Oculus Rift S requires a DisplayPort connection for video. It comes with a MiniDP adapter, but without a DisplayPort connection, it will not work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need an adapter as it only comes with a Displayport to Mni-DP adapter. You'll need a DP to HDMI adapter to successfully play.
