- Answer The GPS only works when connected to your phone, the camera doesn't have its own GPS. Disconnect from the phone and you don't have GPS.

- Answer It can very easily upload to a smartphone. I'm not sure about direct to cloud, but when I post to my iPhone it goes straight to my iCloud.

QuestionHow does the Olympus TG-870 turn on and off? I had an Olympus Stylus 400 which I liked very much, but the sliding lens cover (also turned the camera on/off) stuck open. Repaired, it lasted a year. Olympus still using a sliding cover?

- Answer There is no sliding cover for the lens. A power button on the top turns it on and off and I believe it will power off on its own after enough time.

- Answer I think one year, I had another one for 4 years and was really good, I don't know why water got in the battery compartment and it got corroded, I chose the same brand , I like the camera, I guess if you by with Amex it's covered by the card one year

- Answer The guy at the store told me you could chard this separately, but you have to have the charging station. The store I went to didn't have the charging station. I used my computer and a phone plug part, since the cable is USB.
