Yes it is a 144hz screen. The RTX 2060 laptop version is not but the versions that come with non- max q 2070 and 2080's are 144hz

If you don't believe the answer take the model number go to Google type in the model number shown under the picture on this website and hit specs and it will take you to HP support page. Halfway down the hardware list you will see a display description and it says 17.3 inch diagonal fhd 144 Hertz.
