“Every time I try to change the monitor to the fastest response time (1ms) my refresh rate goes way down and makes the graphics look awful. Does the monitor automatically go to 1ms on a ps4 or will I have to deal with the bad graphics?”

ITS THE MONITOR! I don't know why but even the $700 27" monitor does this when switching to the fastest response time. just keep it to the one above that, otherwise youll see ghosting as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This monitor is meant for PC gaming, which gives you much more control over many aspects of your image and processor. Using this for gaming on a PS4 is not ideal. Instead, focus on a Monitor or a TV that can run 69 HZ, and don’t worry about 144 HZ
