Go to your Nvidia control panel and select 1920 by 1080. There should be two, one of them sho ukd give you the option of 144hz. You're also going to want to make sure your cable is the correct choice. I'm using DP because I don't think that the HDMI port is 2.0 on this monitor.

Once there click on "Display Adapter Properties" at the bottom. When the smaller window opens, go to the monitor tab and it should have a bar for "Screen Refresh Rate." That's where you should set the refresh rate for the monitor. The issue is, HDMI 2.0 only supports up to 120Hz, or 120fps. You'd have to get an adapter for the display port slot with an end that has a DVI port on it and hope that works. I'm not sure using an adapter for DVI would work the same as a regular DVI built in to the monitor.
