Q: QuestionWhen playing games such as overwatch on this pc, GPU temps usually hit up to 85 degrees Celsius. Could someone recommend some coolers (fans or liquid) that would work with the computer? The only free spot I see is the top of the case but I'm not sure.
Asked by Alex.
- A:Answer Motherboard only has 1 port for a fan and 1 for an LC, I feel your pain since is a faulty $2000 product out of the box. The recommended temp for the 2080 is 70c and there is no way that HP doesnt know about this issue.

Q: QuestionIs the Rtx 2080 included a blower style, a dual fan or a triple fan design?
Asked by Demolish.
- A:Answer It's a blower. Zotac RTX 2080. How can the "HP Team" who answered "dual fan" get this so wrong!!

Q: QuestionI'm using tweak II to keep GPU's temp below 75 C. What software is recommended to control CPU's fan speed as the SpeedFan software doesn't recognize the fan. Under load the temp of CPU reaches 90 C due to the fan not maxin' out.
Asked by fabio.
- A:Answer HP thermal performance is extremely unoptimized. Throttling because of poor thermal regulation is NOT what I call "optimized for performance." Since HP's bios sets the fan at 50% maximum and has poor air circulation in the case itself third party programs are a requirement. The fan profile tweaking should have been included in the HP software. As for the CPU, a third party heat sink has been recommended. Noctua NH-U9S has been recommended and should fit the case. I have a bigger Noctua and it won't fit.

Q: QuestionHow to open the right side cover of the case? I need to open the right side to get out the wire under motherboard to replace the power supply. Same for adding a liquid cooler, I would need open the right side cover to reach the back of CPU.
Asked by Emily.
- A:Answer Here us the video on how to open the right side if the omen case. http://site-853123.bcvp0rtal.com/detail/video/5828228489001/how-to-replace-the-side-panel-for-omen-by-hp-obelisk-875-0xx-desktop-pc-and-omen-by-hp-870-xxx-desktop-pc Also to install the liquor counter cooler you will have to remove the motherboard since there is no access to the back of it from the panel. Good luck.

Q: QuestionHow long will it last till it overheats and how many fans would it need if it over heats
Asked by Dasani.
- A:Answer This one overheats pretty soon, after 10-15 min on max you'd see CPU and GPU hit 83-85 C and after 87 C the CPU throttles to 3.6-3.7 GHz and 80% utilization ( you can check this simply by running a program like HandBrake and monitor CPU on task manager ). For GPU I use GPU tweak ll (which make a few programs crash) but helps with the GPU overheating and keeps it under 75 with manual fan curve. I'm still looking for a nice third party program to control the CPU fan ( FanSpeed doesn't recognize the CPU for fan curve ). If you game a lot, you can add liquid cooling for CPU and with more effort even for GPU ( you'll find video guides online ). In contrary to what's advertised, this pre-built is not the easiest to upgrade. If you game for short periods of time then you'll be fine using a good fan curve, even with the lousy fans included.

Q: QuestionHow many HDMI ports are there?
Asked by cRapTX2080.
- A:Answer There's an HDMI port on the video card. Check the official images. It's the third port from the left. Unless they're using some kind of custom card the HDMI port is standard on an RTX 2080. https://store.hp.com/wcsstore/hpusstore/Treatment/Omen_Obelisk_q3fy18_hero4.png
