Very easy to connect, you do have do download the Omron app first. Once your account is set up, downloading the results to your phone is very easy. You can even send your results to your physician. I have not personally needed to use that function!

But pairing it to a phone/tablet is easy with the Omron Wellness app *(on android, at least), the hardest part is where it asks you to pick the model of your device (I wasn't sure so i turned it over and read it off the back). When you take readings you don't have to have your phone nearby, but if you want it to transfer results to the phone, the screen of the omron has to be on, and in the app if it doesn't do it automatically, in the top left there is a transfer button. While it's transferring, the omron displays an "animation" (moving 'o'), when it's done it stops moving, at that point the reading is on the phone both grahically and as numbers.
