“We just purchased this 656...... sounds ok, however the spoken word is so quiet and the action scenes so loud it's a problem, I'm not an expert at setting these systems up and I have always had Yamaha equipment..... Can anyone lend a hand? Thank you”

DID YOU USE THE CALIBRATION SETUP. TRY THAT IT MIGHT SOUND BETTER. IT HAS TO ADJUST TO YOUR ROOM SETTINGS. IF YOU MOVE SPEAKERS AROUND YOU HAVE TO RECALABRATE.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you use the included microphone set at ear level in the center of your viewing area? If not do that and run the calibration setup. Placement of the microphone is important. I'm no expert. It's just the way I did mine, and have no complaints. Also tone controls and an equalizer are built in. You might have to play a bit to get it right. Initially do the microphone setup like the Manuel tells you.
