“Will this work with a 3D/HD TV?”

• Yes, I have the LG65UH8500 from 2015 that is 4K & 3D. The receiver passes 4K and 3D thru to the TV very well for the price. I pass the 3D from a Sony 4K upscale BluRay player thru the receiver to the TV and the TV upconverts the picture to near 4K quality. I can see a difference compared to running the same movie thru the PS4 since it doesn't upscale the picture before the receiver.

• I don't think so. I never thought of that issue until I returned this unit because I couldn't hook it up. I then saw an ad by Best Buy for a Sony Surround Sound receiver that specifically noted that it would process 3-D signals. I bought that unit instead. I think if the Onkyo unit processed 3-D signals it would be noted as a feature in the ads for it.
