A:AnswerNo it will not. No receiver will. You can look at sonos, or buy a bluetooth transmitter for each speaker (doubtful you will get acceptable performance).

A:Answerno it has to be on for the signal to pass through. unless you have an AV splitter in that case you can hook up a nice pair of turtle beach head phones that has a 10' cord AV L / R and a USB to power the head phones with adjustable base, and volume knobs . I have this set up for my game system so i can turn off my receiver and crank up the sound in my earphones without waking the wife.
