“I was trying to adjust the vocals under the tone controls from the front of the unit but I found out from the manuel that this feature is only available when certain inputs are used. Does anyone know what inputs have to be used to mess with this feature?”

Actually I found out that you just have to use the surround sound modes such as the dolby 5.1 mode in order to fully adjust all the tone controls. It wont work if you just have the stereo sound mode on.

Please try again later.I don't know how to make the vocal tone controls work, but if you want a more permanent solution, you can use the setup system to increase the volume of the center channel: Push Setup-down arrow-select Speaker-push down arrow until you see 2-4. Level Cal-press Enter, then use the up/down arrows to find the center channel, and use the right/left arrows to increase/decrease the volume of the center channel. From looking on the Internet, some people do not like the Vocal enhancer tone control because it moves the dialogue from the center channel to the front L and R speakers. Good luck!
