It does work. I turned off the receiver (Onkyo), unplugged the HDMI cable from ARC & turned off my Samsung QLED 65. I waited about 5 mins, Turned on the TV, plugged in the HDMI cable & HALLELUJAH! Setup popped up on the TV! All is well!

Please try again later.First of all download the operators manual.To your point,you need to get an HDMI cable and hook it to the ARC port on the back of the reciever to the arc port on the back of a TV.It is usualy the HDMI 2 port,so you can see the set up info for your reciever.Make sure the TV is on before you turn on the reciever,after reciever set up you can remove HDMI cable and listen to music if you want.Untill you do the set up the remote will not work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same situation. Go ahead and run the Setup Wizard. The unit is an audio video receiver, designed to power a 5.1 channel surround system but it works fine for audio, except no phono input.
