“I just purchased this week the TX-SR393 & speakers. Purchase was just for receiver & Bluetooth, turntable,etc. not tv. The display shows Initial set up TV. I’m lost & don’t want it connected to the TV. HELP”

Any receiver like this pretty much has to use an on-screen display for setup. Do you have a spare HDMI computer monitor handy? If so, plug that in and use it for the initial setup. Here's the manual in case you don't have it: https://www.intl.onkyo.com/downloads/manuals/pdf/tx-sr393_manual_en.pdf
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sorry to say, I would return it and just buy a stereo receiver. This unit you bought is made for tv etc you don’t need one with the tv feature, you could spend less on a stereo receiver. Hope that helps.
