“I see this receiver has a built in Wi-Fi system. Does that mean I can stream movies and TV episodes without purchasing a streaming stick? If that's not he case what is the benefit of built in Wi-Fi? Please advise.”

With WiFi, you can connect to the internet. By connecting this unit to an Internet-connected network, you can enjoy Internet RADIO services, such as TuneIn Radio, Pandora, Spotify, etc. (Not movie or video services) This built-in feature means you don’t need to connect your mobile phone or other device to the receiver to stream music.

The point of wifi is to stream your music to the receiver from your phone or tablet like pandora, spotify, etc. It also has some support of these music apps and can be setup to stream directly. But no video streaming to my knowledge.
