“When I turn on the receiver with the CBL/SAT button, after a few seconds, it resets to the BD/DVD setting. Onkyo is telling me that the only way to override this is by disabling the HDMI/CEC setting, which disables 4K. How do I stay on CBL/SAT?”

• You can try turning off CEC on the tv itself and not on the receiver cec is pretty much what allows you to use your tv remote to control other devices connected to the tv/receiver, I.e. an Apple TV, cable box, etc. turning off cec should not disable the 4K portion

• Disable the CEC on the BRay player and make sure your CEC is turned on for your desired devices. This should solve the issue.
