Only if you are upgrading your whole home theater system, or all your devices also support HDMI. The Onkyo R510 uses s-video inputs; the TX-NR777 does not. This receiver is really designed for a 4K setup, so unless you are going that route, it's more than you need.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe so, the Onkyo TX-NR777 has more power and a lot of features. The tuning capabilities are very nice, which allow you to fine tune your sound. I would recommend it as an upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I like the Onkyo TX-NR777 7.2 I have all my speakers responding well to this receiver. All the listening modes are very clear. I use my iPhone as a remote controller and all is well. I recommend this receiver.
