• A:Answer That is not a simple question. The receiver supports 5.1.4 without any extra equipment needed. Plus, it can drive fairly difficult speakers. Also, depends on your budget and sound requirements. If you have 9 foot ceilings, you can go with speaker that have upward firing speakers built in or put ones on like Polk Reserve R900 Height Module Speaker as an example. If you want to go all out, you can have height speakers installed in your listening area. I would google 5.1.4 dolby atmos to research. I think any decent 5.1 setup where you can buy 4 more satellites for heights will be a good start. In ceiling speakers for heights is yet another option.

Q: QuestionJust curious if anyone has compared sound quality between the RZ50 and Marantz SR7010 or similar Marantz Receivers. Looking to upgrade from my Marantz but haven't found anything that compares sound wise yet.

• A:Answer I currently have the marantz sr7010 av receiver. I do not have the onkyo RZ50 but am seriously looking to buy it. I read a review somewhere (I think amazon) where somebody wrote that the onkyo RZ50 was better than the marantz sr7010 av receiver. my marantz does not have 2.1 hdmi ,imax,or dirac live ,which is why i would consider the ONKYO to be an UPGRADE over the marantz!

• A:Answer A local authorized Onkyo dealer is now stating that these are backordered until the end of January 2022. I wouldn't be surprised if the availability date continues to get pushed back beyond that. The industry chip shortage is causing a lot of supply issues right now.

• A:Answer 120 two-channel into 8 ohms, with reserve for higher into 4 ohms. Naturally into five or seven channels, wpc goes down, as is normal for avrs... but 120 good solid base watts is spec and the reviews I've seen confirm it... that's plenty. Supposedly an amazing avr, with a solid user-friendly streamer too. A bang-for-your-buck "statement product" for Onkyo.

Q: QuestionI want to achieve 7.2.4 setup with an external amp. Specifically, I plan to use this amp to power my rear heights or surround back channels. I've opted for the rz50 receiver instead of a true 11-channel to save money. Any suggestions?

• A:Answer The tx-rz50 allows for two subwoofers. However it does not allow individual adjusts to them. Any adjustments have to be made through the subwoofer.

• A:Answer Hello Jdaniel, The TXRZ50 does support the phono input for a turntable hook up. However, if the turntable already has a preamp built-in, then all you have to do is hook up the player to any audio input on the receiver. Thank you Onkyo

• A:Answer Hello --- The TXRZ50 is compatible with the 4 to 8 ohms. But if you are going to be using a 4 ohm load all the speakers should be 4 ohms. Within the Menu under the speaker setup that is where you would set the receiver's impedance. Thank you Onkyo
