- Answer Yes. Porting is $40 one-time without premiere, no charge with premiere. There are small telecom fees, about $5. Premiere is $10. Monthly. With it you get "whitelisting" among many other features.

- Answer Yes. I have my Ooma Telo 4G connected to my hard-wired telephone network that has 2 wired handsets and a V-tech base station serving 4 wireless handsets. CAUTION: be certain that your phone wiring is not connected to any other service!!!

- Answer No, it does not need to connect to your router, however, if it is connected via the ethernet port provided, it will use the internet as its primary connection and the 4GLTE as backup.

- Answer No, there is no SIM card for this device. This device works over your home wifi & whatever mobile wifi service is available. The Ooma worked but I gave mine up. It is not as good as a landline. Sound quality was good but I connected mine with my cell phone in order to get calls when away from home. When @ home, this became inconvenient because both phones rang. When I answered on cell phone, it required more actions to get to answer the call.
