- Answer You contact ooma to have her old phone number ported over(the instructions will walk you through how to do this). The ooma hardware has a phone jack in it to plug in her old cordless phone

- Answer You don't need to. There's an app for that. Using your smart phone, you'll connect to Ooma via the internet to make calls or access your voicemail. You can also check your calls and listen to voicemail using any computer's browser. Just login to ooma.com.

- Answer They are selling the hardware, and Ooma is providing the service for free, via the internet. But, yes, you're right that you still need to connect a hardware phoneset. But, it is pretty unique, and there's really no other category for Best Buy to put it in. I highly recommend the product/service because you don't have to deal with a landline phone company, and there is no charge except government mandate fees which you would otherwise pay to the phone company, anyway.

- Answer It doesn't require that much bandwidth, but I don't think there is any reason for it to not work, ie the plug is the same, I believe.

- Answer This is not a celular phone. It connects to your home network either by wifi or by ethernet cable. You then connect a landline phone to the Ooma with a standard phone cord.
