When you sign up for your Ooma account, they will give you a block of numbers that are available. You also have the option of having your existing landline ported over for a fee. See the Ooma website for fees on porting an existing number.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you create an online account and register your box, you pick a phone # from large pools of available #’s. In my case I wanted to keep my old landline #, so after the equipment was in place and working with a selected phone #, I submitted a request to port my old # to the new service. You have to keep your old service in place until the port is complete. After your old # is working with the new equipment, you can set it to be your default # when placing cabs, but you do end up having both phone numbers.
