Your existing phones hardwired or wireless will work with the Ooma device. If you have no need for call waiting, call forwarding or caller id, the basic plan will only cost you what your State's local taxes are for phone service. The premium service gives you all the Bell's and whistles. In my opinion the premium service is very affordable and that's why I chose it myself.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just have the basic plan and it is like $5 a month for phone service. The premier plan gives you some options like call blocking and a few other features but nothing I needed more than just a phone line. With basic you can still see your calls through their website and also review voice messages. I just use my own phone and it is a regular base system with satellites. I have the base at the Ooma and then have phones where I need them. Unless you have a specialized need for one of the features you are better off using your regular phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are bothered with a lot of Robo calls the premier plan is definitely worth considering. With it you get added call blocking options that are not available with the basic plan. As for the one with the phones you don't have to have them your existing phone will work fine. I ended up buying a couple of the Ooma phones because they offer some nice options. Wish I had seen the one with the 2 phones when I bought mine as it is definitely a better buy. The Ooma website has a good FAQ for answering questions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want "bare bones" phone service skip the premium service. However, I think that the best feature of the premium service is automatic blocking of telemarketers. We used to get one or two telemarketer calls every day. We've had Ooma premium service for two months now without a single telemarketer call!
