There are instructions that are very easy. It's a matter of unplugging the internet phone from your modem and plugging in the Ooma. Then plugging in your phone to the Ooma.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have ATT Uverse internet, phone and TV. There is a cable from the back of the ATT router to a jack that feeds the phone lines in the house. Unplug that cable from the back of the router and plug it into the back of the Ooma, in the phone out jack. Then, connect the Ooma to any open ethernet jack on the ATT router. There is a rough diagram of this in the Ooma instructions, but it is not very clear about how the cable goes from the Ooma to feed the "land line". Note that there is a warning that the phone jack should have already been disconnected from a traditional land line so that there is no power into the jack. That would cause a problem.

Please try again later.All you need to do is call your Internet provider (assuming you said that all 3 services were bundled) and downgrade your package from their triple play to the double play, essentially lowering it from 3 services to 2 services (internet and TV). While doing this, explain to them you're wanting to port your phone number to Ooma to transfer your phone services over to Ooma. I would however call Ooma first before all of this to initiate the port request. Remember, DO NOT CANCEL YOUR PHONE SERVICE WITH YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER UNTIL AFTER YOUR PORT OF YOUR PHONE NUMBER IS COMPLETED OR ELSE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL PHONE NUMBER YOU PRESENTLY HAVE WITH YOUR EXISTING PROVIDER!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You need some form of broad band internet like cable or fiber optic such as Comcast or Verizon Fios but you do not need cable tv. I reduced my my Verizon Fios package from having tv, phone and internet to just internet and saved about $100 a month. If you want to keep you phone number don’t cancel anything until you set up Ooma then begin to port your phone number over to Ooma. It is also a good idea to ask your provider if the number can be transferred over to another company.

You can also plug the Telo into a phone outlet if you have one nearby and it will feed all the phone outlets in the house. You can then plug phones into all the phone outlets in the house.
