• Yes you can as long as you connect it to the internet. The phone number will travel with you as I have moved twice since buying mine.

• Yes. Just so you can connect it to the Internet in FL. And if you have the unit that connects through Wifi or via the wireless cell network, you wouldn't even need a wired connection.
