• If you're referring to the actual control unit, not a handset, you need to call or chat with Ooma customer service.

• After you plug in the new unit you'll need to contact customer service to activate it - there's a code on the bottom of the unit.

• Any standalone phone will work. I plugged a cordless base station with answering machine into the Ooma so that I could have several cordless phones throughout the house. The make was VTech.
