The older cordless phones had a lot of issues with sound quality. They apparently solved these issues on the newer phones. I suggest you replace your phones with one of the newer models. You'll find that the prices of cordless phones have come down substantially.

Beg borrow or buy a corded phone and plug into the same source as the cordless are plugged into. If the distortion goes away the problem is in the phones. If not the problem rests with the source. Distortion in phones can be caused by WiFi ,Bluetooth or many other devices that operate in the 2.4 MHz range. State of the art cordless is DECT 6. That would be proudly displayed on the base station. If not might be time for an upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It sounds like your phones are broken. Buying a Telo probably will not fix that unless the problem is in your existing phone lines. If it is the phone lines in your house causing the problem then if you plug the base station directly into the Telo, bypassing the phone lines, it should work fine. If your problem is coming from the phone company itself, then the Telo will fix the problem. Try plugging another working phone into your current system and see what that tells you. Good luck.
