• It takes thirty minutes at full flame to get it to the optimal 800 degrees. Don't think a small tank would last for more than one or two cooks.

• Hi Stu-Out of the box, the oven hooks up to a traditional sized propane tank. You can buy a gas tank adaptor on the Ooni website, and this will allow you to hook it up to a smaller propane tank. Happy cooking!
