I believe so. It has a pretty fast refresh rate/response time, and works well for gaming. It's also quite bright, even in moderately lit spaces. It can be ceiling mounted and has a short throw distance, so would fit well in a golf simulator bay. It's only 1080p, so something to keep in mind if projecting an image larger than 100" (i.e. you'll see the resolution degrade the larger the image gets).
