Lou, I haven't tried an Ipad but it should be no problem. It has 2 HDMI inputs, one is for up to 4K and the other is for up to HD. It syncs real time to the video input. When I use the 4K input with Youtube, even as the resolution changes that I view, it will resync, I.E. when I go from a 4K to a HD video, it resyncs.
