A:AnswerNot "true 4k" since this does the pixel shifting. Unless you want to spend like 4 to 8 grand, this is about all you'll find. For most people, myself included, the difference is negligible.
Go to avsforum.com and there is a very long thread about this.
I love this projector. Looks awesome playing video games at 130" in 4k. :)
A:AnswerOurs has been projected on a semi gloss pale gray wall. Absolutely crystal clear. We’ve toyed with the idea of silver, as I’ve heard the same thing, and are thinking about just painting something with a metallic silver and putting it in view to see of it helps before painting the entire surface of my wall. I feel that black does not help the image at all.
A:AnswerI, too, looked at the UHD50, the UHD60, and the UHD65. For the price, the UHD60 is the best. The UHD50 doesn't have the same quality of picture. We have a local company that specializes in building theaters and He had 3 rooms set up for theaters. He was able to switch the UHD50 and the UHD60 and I liked the UHD60 better. Best of luck.
A:AnswerYes the projector can display a 70” image. It has the spin knob on the lens to make screen smaller and larger. Also depends on how far you position your projector from screen. But yes it can be 70”.
A:AnswerThis output would carry an optical audio signal to a receiver. I would assume that one might use this option if you have your video source near the projector and want to make a digital audio run to a receiver placed in another part of the room. Like most newer TVs, this allows you to run one optical audio signal out of the projector if you choose to run your video sources directly into it. Just keep in mind that optical audio only carries two channels and you would need a receiver to run the processing (Dolby/DTS) for 5.1 surround sound. I run my hdmi sources into my receiver and then run one hdmi output to the projector. My receiver is HDCP 2.2 capable, however.
A:AnswerOPTOMA can give you references. I have a ceiling mount for my HD26 and it does a great job for that projector. I had to get a longer pipe to accommodate the UHD60.
