As with any satellite television service very heavy rainfall can temporarily cause a disruption in service. That being said, Orby TV has an advantage in this regard. If a storm causes you to lose your satellite feed, you should still be able to access local channels through the TV antenna (attached to the satellite dish). That could be extremely important if there is a severe weather event in your area and you want to access local channels for news and information.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but it’s very minimal. A nonprofit thats known for reviewing products and services did a study of average time satellite tv was out per year nation wide. I believe their study reported just under 30 minutes per year. When my internet serve providers underground line was dug up by the city water crew, it took a little over 24 hours for the internet to be restored.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In the event of a rain out, you could watch programming off of the dvr or watch local live tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I setup my dish using the orby install app and the tuner. I get 92 on signal strength and 92 on signal quality and never loose picture in the worst of weather. I set my own pole... it is very sturdy and doesn't move in the wind either. Some installers use very flimsy materials to save money and the dish will move in strong winds
