Aa someone else mentioned you can mount the dish on the DirectTv mount but the using walkie talkies and someone watching the TV Signal isn't going to work with a new Orby receivers. You cannot access the menu on the receiver until it's been activated. It needs to be already pointed at the satellite before activation. You will need a GTMEDIA V8 Finder BT03 DVB-S2 to align the dish
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it has to be an orby dish,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IF you already have a dish there are 2 possibilities. If you have a DIRECTV dish simply remove the cables from the LNB, and put the new satellite in place after you take down the old one. IF you have a DISH satellite first you will need to get a 1 and 5/8 inch collar to put the new dish on. Find the Azimuth, elevation and tilt according to your zip code. (Azimuth is where to point the dish on a compass. Elevation is how high or low the dish points. Tilt is on the back. It represents how much "spin" you need to put on the tilt to lock in the frequency coming from space.) Also, before locking the dish down check that it is perfectly plumb and perpendicular to the horizon. Make sure it is level also. You can use a magnetic level to accomplish this. Once you have that accomplished get a pair of walkie talkies. Have one person stand in front of the TV while the other adjusts the dish for better reception. Once you get the best and highest level strength on the Satellites you are pointed at then lock it down. That's it your done. Call ORBY TV when you have completed this so they can answer and activate your receiver(s)
