• You can only record the programs that are are offered by Orby Tv. I don't know if this DVR can be modified.

• Yes! I recently bought this when it was 50% off. I have Roku and the recording is great. Not sure yet how many hours you can save as I usually watch and delete but it has been very nice to be able to record again! A+
