QuestionIs Orby difficult to install yourself? Can you tap into and use the existing cable that's already installed in the house? Does the install kit come with everything you need? If I had it installed are the technicians certified and fully licensed?

- Answer The Orby receivers are easy to install, all you have to do is connect them to existing cable wires (If your house has them) and go through the on screen set-up process. You'll have to contact Orby and have them active the receivers. You'll also have to purchased a satellite splitter to connect the dish to the outside cables. All splitters won't work with satellite dish signals. Hope this helps

- Answer They have LIfetime, LIfetime Movies, LIfetime Real Women, HGTVHD, and DIYHD in the $50 package. They don't carry SYFY, though. You can add Netflix but only with a firestick or something like that. Orby TV is a satellite TV company only (no internet). You can hook up 4 TVs to one dish. 4 receivers x $100 = $400 $25 install for first room then $50 each for the other three = $175 So $575 for the whole thing.

- Answer Not yet. They said it is too expensive right now but hope to add it soon. They do carry Newsmax if you are into conservative news outlets.

- Answer No 24 hour sports channels. But TBS and TNT have baseball and basketball. Local channels have most of the major events if you get reception. Showtime has some stuff, too. I watch golf on CBS and football on FOX locals. I dont miss paying for ESPN

QuestionWe have a camp that is in a neighbor hood without cable access. We are looking for options for basic TV. Once Orby is installed is it possible to have it only seasonally, say from May 1st to Oct 31st?

- Answer You can turn the service off or on any time you want to. You pay only for the months you have it on. The setup includes an off air tv antenna for local stations. The off air stations are free and you will get them all the time, even if you turn off the subscription service for a few months.

QuestionSo each receiver or DVR only runs (1) TV? Because I currently have 3 TV's all with one common DVR access, I would need to purchase 3 DVR's @ $200 each ($600), pay an additional $18 per month, but not be able to watch what was recorded on the other TV"s?

- Answer We waited until the DVR boxes were on sale at Best Buy for $129 each. You pay $4 extra, each month, for every DVR box you have. So in your case it would be $12. And each TV has their OWN DVR box so you can only watch what was DVR’d on that particular TV. But one feature I really like is that while the TV you’re watching is recording (DVR’ing) 1 show, you can still watch anything you want. With our other satellite company we were with, if you had a show being recorded, you could only watch something that you had already DVR’d.

- Answer Go to OrbyTV.com to get the channel packages. The basic package has a good group of channels but if you're a sports fan, no ESPN is available with any package. Also, no FX which is disappointing.
