To toast, you set the temperature to the max, 500 degrees. It is the same temp for broiling but if you have the setting on toast, then both heating elements fire up.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Put one control on toast setting. On the timer, you can see the toast shaped icons. One is black and one is just a black outline. Good luck figuring out how far to turn it for the desired toast level. I'm still trying to figure that out. I have to sit and watch it toast. Zzzzzz..

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I set the middle dial to toast. Turn the bottom dial past 20 and rest between zero and the toast icon. You will need to keep and eye on the toast and reset the timer accordingly
