“Does this toaster oven make a ticking sound while it's on/cooking/toasting?”

• mine does too and its a new unit. but the clicking is not consistent. it quiet for a while and then it click for about 10 seconds then stops and couple minutes later it does it again over and over repeating this process.

• Just bought the Black & Decker 6-slice toaster/convection oven, and it clicks nonstop (about every half second) even when timer is not on at all. I can hear it across the house. Plan to return it. Do I have to find one with buttons and not knobs to prevent this super annoying noise?

• yes if you set it on a certain time but if you set it on stay on it doesn't make the ticking sound.

• Yes, all of our toaster ovens with knobs/dials will make the ticking sound when cooking.
