“I am looking for a replacement for a noisy blender. This looks like a great one, but I want to be sure that it is quiet and doesn't sound like a 747 taking off from my kitchen counter. Thank you.”

Typical noise as with any blender but quality of this Oster Pro is excellent and worth the price and noise-

Its powerful motor starts up with 1200 watts of power that consistently crushes ice, pulverizes greens and turns frozen fruit into a smooth sorbet. It has seven speeds and it includes 3 pre-programmed smart settings and it has a Dual Direction Blade Technology™ for extra blending power to chop and grind with precision. Kitchen blenders tend to produce more noise considering it's highly powered motor. Also, when there's not enough liquid into the mix, the blades have a hard time catching the food and cause the motor to overwork or make louder noises when blending. We do recommend that when assembling the blade, you must fully tighten it in place. Please make sure that all bottom parts of the blender are assembled nice and tight, too.
