• Thank you for contacting Oster®. We value your continued support of our products and we’d be glad to answer your inquiry about the Oster® XL French Door Digital Air Fry Countertop Oven. We recommend a clearance of 6 inches (152 mm) around the toaster oven's sidewalls and top. The unit needs to be placed in a position where it can get ventilation when it is in operation, as the exterior of the toaster oven gets very hot while in use. We hope this helps. Have a nice day!
