QuestionDoes this get very hot anywhere on the outside? I have breathing issues & can no longer use my regular oven as a result. Does this give off any smoke, etc or strong smell other than aroma of whatever you're cooking/baking? Thanks

- Answer Maybe Oster should consider insulating this unit just like a full size oven to cut down on the heat problem and have it vent from just one spot that they claim is the reason for the gap on the front door, which is a questionable answer ! And I wonder if Oster ever installed shatterproof doors yet, I have read of doors shattering on these ovens!

- Answer yes, we have baked cookies, cupcakes, cornbread, and other pastries. We had to learn how to adjust temperatures and times to get them baked to perfection. I adjusted the times to maybe five to ten minutes, The oven only adjusts times in five minute increments.

We recommend a clearance of 6 inches (152 mm) around the toaster oven's sidewalls and top. The unit needs to be placed in a position where it can get ventilation when it is in operation, as the exterior of the toaster oven gets very hot while in use. We hope this helps. Have a nice day!
