You can do that, Rob. As long as the device can recognize your WiFi network, you should be good to go. A number of customers have had success using mesh networks or WiFi extenders. Please let us know if you have any trouble with it!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.don't see why not. the device does not have to connect directly to your router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have my AirTV box connected to my router via WiFi. Recommendations are to use ethernet if possible but running the cable would be difficult in my installation. The WiFi connection to the AirTV box has worked fine for me. I have it, the antenna and 1TB disk installed in my attic with my router located on the second floor of my house. I'm a little concerned about how the Georgia heat will impact reliability and performance this summer but so far so good. If you have a good WiFi signal to the AirTV box you might try the direct WiFi connection approach before purchasing additional equipment. If your WiFi signal is weak at the AirTV box location then the WiFi extender is probably the next thing to try but you should still be able to get by without the ethernet connection to the AirTV box. Hope this helps.
