Technically, most cases for the iPad Pro 11 (2020) fit the iPad Air 4 - the iPad Air 4 is only 0.2mm larger in depth (practically negligible). However, the Otterbox Defender for the iPad Pro 11 does not have an exposed sleep/wake button which will render the TouchID unusable on the iPad Air 4.

The 2020 iPad Pro 11 inch and iPad Air for our dimensionally very similar the only difference is that if you stick a 2020 model iPad Pro 11 inch OtterBox case on an iPad Air four from 2020 you will have more of the back exposed around the camera because the iPad Air four has a single camera set up while the 2020 iPad Pro 11 inch has a multi camera set up. This is the same situation with the OtterBox defender pro series cases that fit the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. You can use those cases for the iPhone 10 and 10 S but, the fit is looser and there is more of the back of the phone exposed around the camera because of the way that the cameras are designed.
